Clyde Morris

Clyde's wife Sallie alerted us to Clyde's death, September 21.

Clyde was born 14 Aug 1921, Died 18 Sep 2001 at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. He suffered a heart attack at their home in Grand Forks, and was taken by air ambulance to Mayo on the 7th of September. While in the hospital, he suffered staph infection due to the heart dye, his kidneys failed, and he had a stoke that caused his death. He is survived by his wife, Sallie, children: "The Tarriers" who were goodwill ambassadors for Clan Hamilton, and many other relatives. Services will be at the Mackin Funeral Home in Rochester and burial will be either in Wisconsin or possibly Florida where they had planned to move.

A delegation of the Manitoba Collation of Clans, a piper, and others gathered for a service at 2:00 p.m. Monday, 24 Sep 2001.
Clyde will be remembered as Commissioner for Clan Hamilton in Manitoba, North Dakota, etc., and was instrumental in getting the Governor of North Dakota to "Proclaim" the First Scottish Tartan Day in that state.
Our prayers are with the family at this time of sorrow.
